Wrong

The darkness was almost.. nearly... well, it was impossible to become accustomed to.  It was, however, the only life for Norm.  It wasn't an eternal darkness.  There were occasional glimpses of the outside world, and these moments, although short, were sparks of delight.  But, duty was always met on time during Norm's constant watch - he was, after all, the time keeper.  Each hour on the hour Norm would step outside and announce the hour to all those who might be watching or listening.

As he waited for the upcoming hour of twelve noon, Norm sat back in his home, convincing himself of his position.  He knew the hour, the mechanics of his job were simple, and his announcement was always heard.  The simplicity of the job was tiresome, but always needed.  He felt the time drawing closer and closer.  Then suddenly he was propelled from his seat, thrust into the open air.  Norm drew back his head and blared, "Coo Coo."  Then was sucked back to sleep.

It's time to write again!

I am adopting the following as my excuse:
Life changed, so did I.
There is no longer an excuse not to continue something that has always given me joy!
It's time to write again!
